thomas n. burg - on social media and its benefits for us, and sometimes gossip.

August 31st, 2002

Kurzzeit-Bundeskanzler einmal meinte.

Rethinking syndication? This Salon weblogger found out by accident that thanks to his automatic RSS feed, his site is being mirrored without his knowledge or consent, at Nuzee. It turns out that Nuzee has all sorts of mirrored blogs there, from BoingBoing to Wil Wheaton. Farr has posted about his problems with it, equating the republished RSS as stealing his content, but with many desktop RSS readers out there, what’s fair and what’s not? Where do we draw the line? Does anyone need your permission if you’re publishing RSS? [via spartaneity] [Blogroot]
