Yesterday, 20 years later I attended a concert of one of my favourite bands of the 80s. Tuxedomoon (t d f) on stage in Vienna at Szenewien (t d f).. An excellent gig basically grounded on their equally excellent new (2004) album “Cabin in the Sky“. Interestingly they had a guy on stage that played with a digital camera projecting somehow edited material live on a screen in the back of the stage.
This song is actually from Holy Wars, an older album (1985): Some Guys, lyrics.
And yes, Steven Brown has a weblog and Blaine Reininger has a (strange) website too. Update: and a weblog too.
There is just one additional thing that had a sustainable effect: the worst air (exhaust fumes) I encountered for decades. People were smoking like hell. Took me 12 hours to get rid of that waste. I wonder if and how the musicians manage such an environment especially those that played the trombone and the sax not to think of those that tried to sing - maybe I’m getting old these days
