It seems as if the Viennese branch of the Austrian Workers Chamber (t d f) (Arbeiterkammer (t d f) Wien) is not interested in the web and its latest developments.

I asked them if they are interested to cooperate with BlogTalk by making their venue cheaper. They replied that there is no relation to the mission of the AK (t d f)(=Arbeiterkammer) whatsoever. Which is strange in itself; the more since they ask for 5000 Euros to use their venue at the Adolf Czettel (t d f) Bildungszentrum. Consequently they don’t have a singe webpage for that location.
Innovation and technology seem to be a long-term foe of social democratic reasoning although Karl Marx (t d f) clearly points to the interdependence of technology and society.
I know this is a rather sour comment. But I’m not willing to pay that much and increase the conference fee.
PS: the picture shows Anton Benya (t d f), former president of the Austrian Workers Union. He somehow takes care of the wonderful park that is close to the now gone venue.
