Ich stelle gerade noch ein paar letzte Überlegungen (v.a. reisetechnischer Art) zur PRleben-Tagung an der FH Joanneum in Graz an.

Ich bin dort eingeladen zu Herausforderungen/Chancen für Kommunikationsprofis (und solche, die es noch werden wollen) angesichts von Social Media zu schwadronieren. Anbei die Slides von morgen. Erwarte eine lebhafte Kommunikation.
I had the chance to give a presentation recently about the Software as a Service paradigm and its business model implications. Particularly the delayed cash flow and the high marketing costs put the pressure on every start up that goes with the SaaS model. It’s equally difficult to blend classic models of selling software licenses and SaaS offerings without getting into resource issues of a different kind.
I was sleeping longer than usual but this quote (see below) woke up my urge to participate.
There has been an ongoing discussion if mega-regions – a term massively leveraged by Richard Florida – are the actual and even more the next big hubs of economic growth. Politicians, sociologists, and economists started not only graphing existing and future hot-spots but were also discussing what’s necessary to stay or become such an economic hot-spot.
