If an organisation misses that then there is only the diagnostic power of social software left: immediately you will find empty spaces and complaints about lack of time and usability. Because if you are in the mood of helping and sharing almost any tool is sufficient.

Is the essence the process ( ) of creation? I wonder if we focus on the wrong side of the road. Not the value itself is of importance but the process that creates it - might be a rather deconstructivistic argument.
If that’s the case then all we need is an new pair of goggles and appreciation for the process with disrespect for the result.

On shoulders

Just reading Thomas Vander Wal’s “Broad and Narrow Folksonomies” it occured to me that a decent way to implement tagging behind firewalls is to provide simple flat tagging that gets its controlled vocabulary from public aggregator services like delicious, connotea or from some kind of established topicmaps. This way applying tags stays easy while retrieval is structured.Very early in the game.
