the long story

Well, today was my (first) meeting with the Rector and the 2 Vice-Rectors of the Donau-Universität Krems. We did talk about future cooperation and even shares in the enterprises to come (more on that later). Unfortunately they were not prepared to talk about the Social Software Lab. So we decided to postpone that issue and schedule another meeting. Some things take time.

Sidenote: explaining them the issue of Social Software – though not all of them were interested in the topic – made me feel like a somewhow crazy evangelist.

I decided to not sign the continuation of my contract at the Donau-Universität Krems. It was not an easy decision – quitting a job and having a familiy – but, you know, I have plans.

I was a part of this great institution since November 1995. It’s almost a decade now. Since the inception of this University innovation was it’s main driver.

Dorbirn Krems || die Welt

Almost at the train to Dornbirn. Yesterday a tough but successful meeting with respect to the technologyLog project. And there is one other thing I’d like to disclose here. I’m working on the establishment of a Social Software (Computing) Lab at the Danube-University, though too. We’ll see if I can succeed.

And besides that I wonder if there are still people out there that don’t use Skype.


A new director for the Danube University Krems … soon

Our university is getting a new director (or Rektor as we call it) There will be a public hearing. Here is the list of applicants. Quite impressive Some of them are quite impressive I’d say.
