Some of you might have realized that I’m obsessed with productivity (t d f) solutions. I started with desktop-based software but only some time ago I decided to move anything online. Since there is no solution that provides you an integration of all best of breed applications that you might need I go for a blend of several web-apps.

Just learned that Editgrid (best web-based spreadsheet seen/used so far) is written partially in Perl. That surprised me to some extent. [tags]software[/tags] [tags]spreadsheet[/tags]

Writewith, another web-based application that makes it easy to forget that you need to own a computer (plus expensive software) to (for instance) write something.

writewith:
- Upload documents to the web
- Assign tasks to others and share docs with them
- Edit together, chat, and see changes as soon as they happen
- Comprehensive history for each doc

I just think that only those application services will survive in the market that somehow integrate with [tag-tec]storage service providers[/tag-tec].
